Routing Roon through Airfoil to my iPhone and iPad

I found the same problem playing music from my Windows laptop, routing Roon through Airfoil to my iPhone and iPad (in order to play in other rooms in the house). All other music playback apps work fine, but with Roon, the output is choppy, as if it is playing at too high a bit rate. I don’t know what the problem is, but it would be nice to be able to try to troubleshoot to get to the bottom of it.
Best,
John

I kept trying to figure out the problem, and after a bit of changing things around, in Airfoil, I just switched the output from “Roon” to “System Audio.” This seems to work just fine.

Hi @John_Hudak ----- Thank you for the report and sharing your feedback with us. I have moved your posts over to their own thread so I can address them with you directly.

With the release of Roon v1.4 iOS playback is now support, so you should be able to select either your iPhone and iPad as audio zones without having to route through Airfoil.
