Not sure if it was the upgrade to build 196 but I didn’t have any issues streaming from my mac using Devialet air, now it crashes or won’t play. playing Devialet air from tidal app no issues. tried reinstalling air and disabling dsp but still the same, can I go back to 194 to test?
I have the same issue. Just upgraded Roon and Mac Mini is connected through ethernet using Devialet Air 3.0.1. It plays for about 5 minutes, then the sound goes and I notice the sound output in system preferences defaults back to internal.
Rebooting the system restores sound again for something like 5 minutes.
I have played with the Room audio settings to no avail.
Let’s flag @support to look into this for you.
Cheers, Greg
Apologies, I may have found the issue:
I just realised that I had Air 3.0 installed when the problem occurred. I have now done a clean uninstall and then installed Air 3.0.1 and it seems to be working fine (for 15 minutes now).
Hi, I also did this yesterday before I read the replies and it seemed to work ok. But this morning using my iPad I did the usual, switch on devialet via remote app and then open roon remote. The Devialet Air device was not visible, I can see it as a device that is setup in the audio setup page but no longer can I choose it as an output device.
So I logged on directly to the iMac and had to restart Roon on the iMac, not sure if this makes a difference but I un-checked “private-zone” and I was able to select the Devialet Air as an output again (but this was after I rebooted roon on iMac). It’s playing without any issues now.
I will monitor this and see if it happens again when Devialet goes into standby as this would be a real pain for me as my iMac is in an upstairs office. I have used Roon since the early days and never had any issues, perfect solution for Devialet owners not to mention the support level.
