Description of Issue
After one of the recent version changes, I suddenly lost 5-10k curated, cropped and uploaded artist photos, approx 7 per artist. I very seldom if at all use the Valence provided photos. I know the significance of the loss because I wouldn’t have invested the time if I didn’t enjoy and appreciate roon’s providing the capability to do so, and it has become an integral part of how my friends and I now experience the music. Additionally, I have catalogued all the photos so can quickly confirm they should be appearing.
I know this is an unintended consequence (I sure hope so) of your hard work, but am counting on your quick support to identify the issue or get me back to an earlier version in which all those photos appear again.
Ok, this is not the issue I thought it was. It was a bad day and I got alarmist without doing all the due diligence I should have. It was not for no reason, though. Roon no longer shows all the primary artists for which images have been uploaded on the Album View page, only a single artist name. If I missed this in recent release notes, my bad. I like the change now that I’m aware the artists and images added have not been discarded, and can be seen in the Artist directory and Now Playing pages.
There are instances where a Valance artist image has been substituted for my upload, or added, which will take time to replace, and I’m not sure why this has happened to some but not all of the primary artist photos. Also, the primary artist does not display first - before others - in Chromecast as it does on my iMac or iPad.
