Specs on the unit:

SSD HDD 256GB
Could play the files before…any thoughts?

Hello @Morten_Valbjorn,

Does this issue happen for all your zones or just one in particular? What is the DAC you are making use of here? Can you post a screenshot of your Signal Path while there is music playing?

Thanks,
Noris

Have done some screenshots here

Mayby my ssd isnt fast enough…the files is 10GB…128DSD files plays good…just that the NUC could play them before…dont now what is happend

Hello @Morten_Valjorn,

It looks like your processing speed is 1.1x which is fairly low and I’m assuming that it also might be going under 1x as the track progresses.

I would take a look at the ROCK setup you have as it is likely a bit under-powered or you could have a bottleneck in your network somewhere, I would suggest also taking a look at our Networking Best Practices Guide to see if you can improve the networking aspect of things.

Thanks,
Noris

I altso was wondering over this speed…but the cpu can handle upscaling from 16/44100 to 32/706 from TIDAL without any problems…the Intel NUC is just handling the DSD data files from internal further to the DAC native…doesnt take that much power

I Copy/pasted the info from my another thread in forum…just for some info

Ok…Old setup

Incoming Ethernet on FiberBox 2*600mb/s>Router>Switch 4 out>Intel NUC+3 others in my Home Theater
All cables was 5E cables
NUC is connected to the Switch

New setup
Incoming Ethernet on FiberBox 2*600mb/s>Router>Intel NUC and Switch> rest of devices
All cables is 6A
NUC is connected directly to Router

The change is.
New cables…
Other setup…
New BIOS…
Normal profile > Quiet profile on the NUC

Router is…D-Link AC1200…
Firmware on all devices is updated
DAC is: Pro-Ject Pre BOX S2 on FirmWare 2.12
The NUC’s firmware is updated from 58 to 72
Usb cabel between NUC and DAC is from IFI

In total…4 changes…But, i dont understand…The files i try to play is stored on the internal SSD …Have all Sampels from Blue Coast Music PRIME’s Editions testSampels, altso in 256DSD, have all playd ok…All the large files is stored internal
Info: I changed the cables course the high speed on my incoming ethernet…All devices has wired thernet connection and 2 off my divices can’t handle the speed…thats why
BUT…its a fact…when listening to beatifuld music and it suddenly stops…is VERY frustrating

Thanks for the answers on my thread…looking forward to a solution

This is not what you’re doing. You’re applying Parametric EQ DSP, then converting back to DSD256 again.

You can simply disable DSP. If you have to have DSP, you can try Enable Parallelize Sigma Delta Modulator. If that does not help sufficiently or it’s already enabled, then Disable Native DSD Processing.

Does changing the NUC to Quiet Profile throttle the CPU? If so that might be a problem
