It means that many artists compress 44.1khz in MQA, even though it’s not ‘Master Authenticated’. Same happened to me when I listened to RÜFÜS Du Sol ‘Live from Joshua Tree’, which is claimed as MQA, yet only 44,1khz. All 96khz is MQA, not every MQA is 96. It’s only capable container, not a quality guarantee, unfortunately
Not all 44 MQA is authenticated, not all 96 and higher RES MQA is authenticated; Resolution and Authentication are separate issues
Just don’t apply the second unfold.
