I know it has been requested to add additional album artwork. And that it is challenging because of the folder structure. If you have your files in some prior organization not by artist\album for instance. But can you at least add some feature where additional images of the band/artist could be uploaded. So I don’t see only the one picture of the band leaning on a car when I play any song by The Who? And I could add dozens of songs that it shuffles through when playing The Who?
The ability to add additional artist images already exists, the problem is displaying them. I think there was a project to show an age appropriate artist image with an album, though some sort of left/right arrow artist image browser thing would be nice and probably much easier to implement. Its confusing/disorientating if the images seem to randomly change on their own.
Do you mean through the Valence online stuff? Isn’t that for the entire Roon population? Maybe that will work but I was really just thinking about adding images to my local roon library. I would assume there is some folder of images and then the UI just move the image there and puts a link to the artist in the DB. Then when playing it just cycles through the local images if they exist, or starts with the public images and then my local ones. Seems much simpler to implement.
Also, I look in Valence and see the image of The Who leaning on the car that I always see. But there are also many more. When I am showing the output on a Display, say in the game room while a playlist is going, I would like to see it flipping through images - is there a way to make that happen now?
