Good evening, I am an owner of the Streamer ST300 Signature. After updating Atoll to the new firmware 2.5.2, I noticed that the streamer behaves abnormally, especially when using Roon + Qobuz (latest Roon build on a Windows 10 ). Often the screen does not show cover art or disc informations. Also, when I press the off button, the streamer stays on for a long time, about a minute, before turning off. Everything works with Atoll native app.....Is it an incompatibility problem? Is there any possible solution?
Thank you
Best Regards
Describe your network setup
PC with windows 10, TIM router, connected by a network cable to Streamer Atoll St-300 signature.
Can you please let us know the exact local time + date + track playing (if applicable), when this issue next occurs? We can take a look over logging to see if it reveals further clues afterward, thanks!
Thanks for sharing a timestamp! Unfortunately, diagnostics didn’t show any additional clues as to what might cause the delay you’re experiencing.
With your above mention, when using the Atoll native app, there is no delay from the physical streamer itself?
Are you able to test out using different cables as well as ports? Are you able to simplify your network chain, and get a direct ethernet connection from both your Roon Server as well as the St-300 to your primary router?
If you haven’t yet, I’d also reboot your router and allow your devices to reconnect. Then, test to see if the same issue persists.
Hi Benjamin,
I confirm that using the native ATOLL app, there is no delay. As suggested, I tried restarting the rooter and changing ethernet cable, Roon continues to experience the delay, which on some occasions does not even allow Atoll to show the songs metadata (cover art, artist name, etc…) on its display.
Hey @Andrea_Raffaldini - we’ll go ahead and mark your response above as the solution for now, as the issue seems to be with Atoll, but if their next firmware version doesn’t help, certainly let us know. Thank you!
