Accented Character support in Playlists

I thought that this issue was fixed: that the Roon loader for m3u text playlists does not recognise any accented characters and drops the tracks.
I know that there is a work around of opening the m3u files, sourced from J River, in Notepad (Windows) and saving them explicitly in some other text format (probably ANSI), but was this not changed to support all common text types?
In any event, the problem has arisen again and it would be elegant if Roon software could support a wide range of text formats to make loading of m3u files easier.

Hi, @Peter_Davies1, thanks for the report! We’ll try to reproduce this issue internally. Just a short question, am I getting this right that you use Win machine as your Core? (because you mentioned using notepad Win)

Thanks!

I have tried replying to you via email but I am told by Google that it cannot find you.
So, I realise t in this location, I am using MacOS for Roon Core. I use Win10 for the client, where I was editing, in Notepad, the playlists to try and get the playlists to load.
You can find the original problem report (with Win 10 Core and Client) using the old handle: anon82897862. The first post was February 19, 2017.
Same problem, different system.
Thank you,
Peter

Hi, @Peter_Davies1, I sent you a PM with further steps.

Thanks!

I uploaded the file sleeper.m3u. It contains 82 records, two of which will fail. Maybe…
