I can see that the backup fails and I need to give full access right to the backup folder to roon.

When installing roon server on Linux does the installer create a user that the service run under?
I can see that the backup fails and I need to give full access right to the backup folder to roon.
What’s the right way to do it
There is documentation about installing Roon on Linux:
From there: The app will run as root
From that I assume that all (backup) files and directories created by Roon belong to the user root
. As root
is god-like, access rights on (local) parent directories shouldn’t matter? For remote smb shares the credentials you provided when setting-up the connection are used. At least that’s what I can see on my server(s).
It just failing when creating a backup
I will try to create the backup directory in another folder
