Accessing local audio files on a Roon Bridge

I have my Innuos Statement setup as a Roon Bridge and would like to know what is the best way to configure access to the audio files stored directly on the Statement‘s SSD?

I can of course setup the SSD as a share for my separate Roon Server to access via Ethernet but that appears a bit clumsy. (i.e. server accesses share of bridge and then sends back to the bridge for playback)

That is the only way to do it. The server either has to have local files or access network shares.
