I’m not familiar with networking but I’m trying to determine if it is possible to connect to my roon core that’s on my NAS from a remote that is not on the same network as the core such as over cellular data connection to the internet. And if it’s possible what do I have to do to get this to work
The only reliable solution I’ve found is OpenVPN configured for TAP. Unfortunately I don’t think TAP is supported on mobile devices.
Roon currently only supports all cores, control and endpoints being on the same network subnet. The devs have stated they are looking into a mobile solution in the future.
