Description Of Issue

I’m trying to add a backup to a NAS on our network. I created a shared folder on the NAS, and have confirmed that other computers on the network are able to access the shared folder using the same credentials I have entered into the Ass Network Share dialog.

When I try to add the shared folder as a path for a roon db backup, I get the following error message:
“Could not connect to share: Host not found”

When I access the folder via a mac, the path shows as:
smb://BupCenter._smb._tcp.local/roonbup/roonbup

Any guidance on what I’ve done wrong would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

Have you tried using the IP address of your NAS in place of the BupCenter._smb._tcp.local as suggested in this article?

Geoff_Coupe,
Thanks very much for the guidance and reference.

That did the trick
