Please consider adding a way to schedule a forced re-scan of local (including USB) storage for library changes (similar to the NAS option).
Automatic detection of library changes has been failing for me for some time, which I’ll pursue separately, but it would be nice if I had an option to choose a scheduled refresh rather than automatic refresh, regardless of those issues.

This should not be needed for local storage and indicates a bigger issue somewhere. I have had my Rock core on occasion stop adding new music a reboot always sorted it. If this is happening all the time then this needs support to look at it. Local storage really doesn’t need a schedule as it should always be an instant thing.
What OS are you experiencing issues on, and what size is the library. As @Simon_Arnold3 says, this shouldn’t be an issue but the details will matter.
