Hi,
I would like to add a station I curate. This is “Groove Of The Day Radio” based on my Instagram Groove of the Day page. This station is ad free and focuses on mid-70’s - early 80’s music such as jazz, disco, boogie, R&B.
Thank you,
Mike

No problem, but can you tell me
I was shown an error message saying the stream was not available in my country.
Sorry about that. It is based out of the United States.
GOTD Radio is an ad-free internet radio station dedicated to the golden era of groove music — disco, funk, soul, boogie, jazz-funk, Italo-disco, city pop, and yacht rock. The station is the streaming companion to @groove_of_the_day on Instagram.
Right now we are cleared to play music in North America (Canada, US, Mexico and UK). Other countries will vary
Thank you.
I’ve added Groove Of The Day Radio for you. Please check if OK.
(If you could, a city or state would be useful to add as a more precise location)
Thank you - New York, NY for precise location. Thank you!
I was going to give it a try and Roon says “not available” not by geofence I understand.
What happened?
What country are you in?
I went to give this a try from the UK and while I could find it easily enough. When I opened it I got the below.
“Catalonia” is the answer I would like to say but being geopolitical in the real way it is “Spain”
That’s a strange one.
Their website is saying that the station is geofenced, I can’t play it from France from their site.
But if I remove geofencing in Roon directory it plays from Roon in France…
I have for now removed geofencing in Roon, try again if it works (no guarantee).
Grove of the day is now working in the UK ![]()
Sounding groovy.
Stream URLs often work when the website won’t play after checking country. However, we should conform to the website’s rules. I have added the geo-restrictions again.
The website does not allow streaming to there. Accordingly the station is geo-restricted in Roon.
Not allowed to listen as per Roon blocking policies?
I’m just following the website’s rules.
Fair enough! That doesn’t explain why @Paul_Whittaker couldn’t stream from the UK but could with geofencing removed.
I wondered. I’ve added the extra UK ones (Jersey etc) in case that helps.
@Paul_Whittaker Where in UK are you?
Manchester
And it is working or not?
Crystal clear. I understand it is not your decision.
