Description of Issue
I paste the Web display into Chrome browser on the IPAD Pro
When I return to the Displays screen in Roon the display is there but then quickly disappears and is not visible on top where DSP is shown when you press the sound icon.
IPAD has no problem stream/mirroring with the TV/Display
Sorry for the slow response but I wanted to check in on you.
I was toying with this setup myself. I have an iPad Pro and sat down at my desk to test. I typed in my URL and it took me to a page that said “Roon”, I then pressed the volume button, the display button, and selected the iOS device that was there. Once I started playing it started playing on the iPad.
Our buddy @noris was doing the same thing but instead, using Roon remote on his iPad and switching between Roon Remote and Chrome to try doing the same. It had the exact same results you reported.
Once your browser window becomes backgrounded, it doesn’t respond correctly to Roon and vice versa. Try setting this up from two different devices and it should work great. Let us know if you find otherwise.
