After adding artist pictures Roon freezes on scrolling

Hi,

I added pictures for two artists. When I scrolled, Roon freezed. I resolved this temporary by removing thes pictures.

Artist 1: 17 Hippies

It would be great if I could add artist picures without breaking Roon.

You need to link publicly available pictures, like the first one.
The Google reference wont work:

To be honest, this is one of the things that doesn’t really shine in Roon.
However, if you use a PC/Mac you can paste pictures directly, without the need for a URL. I cant see why this is not possible on a tablet, but it’s not.

Hi,

I insterted the picture with these URL, so they are correct. II have no influence of the availability of these addresses. But the Google URL may be a problem. I’ll try it again with downloaded files and report if something goes wrong.

The GUI freezes also on quick scrolling in the artists view.

Hi. Found the same this morning on the desktop Mac. Scrolling on the artists page causes Roon to lock up. I have a similar issue with a particular album when I try to add an artist’s photo that has no reference in the Roon database - it locks up and takes five (yes 5) Force Quits after re-launching to get Roon back to stability. For the majority of actions asked of Roon it behaves and plays fine on the Mac (as its core), it’s these specific routines that make it far from 100% stable on the Mac running Big Sur.
Linking to images is clearly problematic but I would have thought there should be some kind of routine in place whereby a call for images is only made when the window is static and not being scrolled.
