Description of Issue

Earlier tried to boot too , said I needed to upgrade nucleus and software. Told it to update nucleus first. Then updated software. When starting up, screen went white, app closed, back to home screen.
Power cycled nucleus then got this.

Deleted app and reloaded

Asks me if I want to connect to this core. I click yes

When I open the app, the app crashes without opening. Back to Home Screen.

iPhone 14pro max
iOS 16.2

Restarted router and core again. No change.

Have you also updated the Roon Remotes to the latest versions available (1223 I believe)?
Edit…scratch that I just noticed your Nucleus says it’s at build 1148, it should be 1223.
Which is what it should have updated to.
Can you use the web UI to navigate to the nucleus to update it?

Ok, didn’t know what the “UI” was, but tinkered around and saw the IP in the pic I posted, so gave it a shot, and there it was. Told it to update the nucleus and then the player (I think) and everything came back! Thanks…
Question, it now , when asking you to pick a device, shows my iPhone, iPad etc as devices… Never seen that, what’s the point? I have the nucleus , and a sonos in the garage and thats it… When installing the Sonos, there was a problem, and ended up with two devices that were supposed to point to that… Is there a way to delete the bogus one, and secondly is there a reason to have my iphone/pad listed as devices??

Thanks for your help…

The reason your phone and IPad are listed is because they can play music and be used as Roon endpoints. If you choose not to use them that’s up to you. Many people use their phone to listen to music using Roon. Your Sonos devices can be accessed using Sonos’ proprietary streaming protocol or using Airplay. That’s why they’re listed twice. You can choose which protocol to use when listening. And I don’t think any of these potential endpoints can be deleted.

Some people, myself included, use a phone as an endpoint.
For example just a few minutes ago I was using my phone as endpoint out in the garage with aux out to an old boom box.
I was actually using Arc but could have just used regular Roon.

Ok, I now understand why it lists the iPhone etc, nice touch… However dont understand the Sonos, it was a pain to set up, I had to manually add it, called the first one garage, it didnt work, called the next one garage amp. Finally got it to work, just tired of seeing both, as one doesnt work at all… Being as I added it, you would think there would be a way to get rid of it ?

I don’t believe there is anyway to get rid of that zone at the moment.
