Again I have problems connecting ARC. This is the report that Roon leaves me:
{
“connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“188.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“router_external_ip”:“null”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“server_ip”:“192.168.1.1”,“found_upnp”:true,“error”:“<s:Envelope xmlns:s="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\” s:encodingStyle="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/\“><s:Body><s:Fault>s:ClientUPnPError<UPnPError xmlns="urn:schemas-upnp-org:control-1-0">718ConflictInMappingEntry</s:Fault></s:Body></s:Envelope>”}
}
What should I do to solve it? I am not a computer scientist, just a user.
Thank you in advance.
To echo what @Suedkiez wrote, the ConflictinMapping line in your diagnostic message pasted above indicates that another device in this network is mapped to the same port you see in Roon → Settings → ARC.
In many cases, this is due to a second router somewhere in between your Core and ARC. Other times, third-party software (like a firewall, antivirus, or streaming software) can be reserving those parts. An additional possibility is that your service provider has reserved certain ports.
However, the most common culprit is that a previous or second installation of Roon has still reserved the port. Do you have a second Core at this location? If not, have you recently migrated to a new Core, or recently reinstalled Roon?
It’s been days since I fixed the problem. I asked my ISP to disable IPv6 and immediately ARC connected correctly and works perfectly until today.
Thank you for your help and kind regards.
