Hi @Matt_Rosenberg ,

Can you please let us know the affected models?

Are you able to reproduce the behavior and let us know the exact local time + date + track you reproduced with? We’ll enable logging for your account and review the logs for clues, thanks!

The Yamaha is a RX-V677 The Denon is a DRA-N5.
Here is an update. It I play a local file first, pressing play about 5 or 10 times before it works, I can switch to a radio station if it’s already playing. I’ve replaced the server with a newer Mac Mini and it’s running the latest OS, re-installed ROON on the new Mac and the results are the same. Group play has completely stopped working no matter how many times I press play.

Hey @Matt_Rosenberg,

Thanks for the follow-up! From a recent Roon Server diagnostic report, we’re seeing the following error:

Warn: [Worker (8)] [airplay/rtsp] SocketException while connecting to RTSP server: Connection refused [::ffff:192.168.168.1]:1024
Warn: [Worker (15)] [airplay/client] Failed to connect: Result[Status=NetworkError]

There are a few different reasons this could be happening:

  1. A firewall or network security setting is blocking the connection - are you able to temporarily disable your Mac firewall and see if the same issue occurs?
  2. The error mentions port 1024, which isn’t the default AirPlay port (AirPlay usually uses port 5000 or 7000)
  3. The device has changed its IP address, causing a mismatch with Roon’s cached data. Can you confirm all your devices are running on the same local subnet?
  4. Power cycle the device to ensure its network services are running properly.

Let me know if any of the above help! :+1:
