AirPlay devices no longer visible after Windows update

Hi all,
I recently installed the latest Windows 11 update (**KB5063878, August 2025), and since then, Roon has stopped recognizing my Apple AirPlay devices. Everything was working fine before the update—now none of my AirPlay zones show up in Roon’s audio settings.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue post-update? Would love to know if this is a widespread problem or if there’s a fix I’ve missed.

IPV6 update - others seeing Airplay devices occasionally disappear until reboot?

Since the latest update (moving to incorporate ipv6), I am seeing all my Airplay devices disappear at irregular intervals (Kef plus Sonos speakers and amp). This is not a one-off, but it is happening consistently, just irregularly, and apparently after a long period of inactivity. I have no other problems. All my Airplay devices work and I use them for hours and they are still there over a period of days with normal use including long periods of inactivity (nighttime and when not home). No pr…

My experience is exact opposite!
My airplay devices (Yamaha AVR as well as WX10 speakers) were visible to ROON but streaming would not run beyond 12 seconds. Same with JRiver. I gave up on this and now ROON as well as JRiver are streaming smooth… hope it stays that way!

We have just received a test results from our QA Team and it was confirmed that update KB5063878 does not affect discoverability of the AirPlay devices.

In our case I would suggest checking other factors such as:

• Wi - Fi settings (IGMP Snooping/IGMP Proxy)

• Make sure that your Airplay devices are in the same local network as your Roon server
• Probably, try to backup your Roon Server and then reinstall it from scratch
• Try to check it again with temporarily disabled firewall.
• try disabling IPv6 if you did not do that yet.
