I have completely wiped my very large library because I didn’t really trust some of what I was seeing. I want to start from scratch and I have a lot of vinyl rips that I want to distinguish from CD rips.
In this screenshot the album is labeled as CD and I don’t know what I need to do to make that say vinyl. Can someone please assist me? Thank you guys and gals.

Figured it out myself. This has to do with sample rate.
You can use tags to allow you to sort for vinyl, also if you insert the word “Vinyl” in brackets in the folder name Roon will parse this in its Version that can be displayed.
As you say, the CD just means the album has been ripped 16/44.1.
Or use a VERSION file tag and configure Roon to use it.
