Album import issues with corrupt file error in Roon (ref#M4IRE9)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· This morning all tracks of one album failed playback with Roon stating that the files are corrupt. The files play perfectly fine streaming from ROCK internal storage on my Mac and the same album was also downloaded before to ARC on my phone with no issues.

I tried deleting the album and re-importing it but all files are skipped during importing stating that the files are corrupt. I have renamed all files, renamed the album and imported and exported them to Apple Music and edited the MP3 tags, all with the same outcome: all files are skipped during re-import in Roon.

Again, the files play perfectly fine on all my devices.

Is this the only album you have in a lossy format?

Have you added the ffmpeg codec? Although they would normally show as unsupported.

Thanks for your reply. I do have some albums in lossy mp3 but not many. The few I have tested still play correctly. This live album of the Red Hot Chili Peppers also worked without issues for years.

I was able to temporarily fix the issue by transcoding the mp3 files to flac. The flac tracks were imported without problem and playback also works. An explanation what caused this issue would still be appreciated though so I know how to prevent this from happening again.
