Description of Issue

I cannot find the artist, or albums by this artist in Roon. The artist is …water…

The artist did show up at one point when I had the album as .mp3. After converting my files to flac I am unable to get the music to show in the library. Interestingly, this artist is also hard to find through Tidal, you have to search by album name.

First some pictures to show that it is within the folder targeted for Roon (cannot have … after the folder name within windows, but added the flac tag picture to show file tag)

I have also enabled show hidden albums and looked at skipped files and do not see these tracks anywhere. I have also tried force rescan and library cleanup. Any help would be appreciated.

The issue is the “…”.

From the Roon Faq on file/folder naming issues:

  1. Any folder with a name starting with a period, for example /…and Justice For All/ or /.temp/

Thank you. That fixed it, removing the … on the folder allowed it to get picked up by Roon and still display correctly with the FLAC tag information.

I only read through the special characters portion and did not see the note you posted above in the next section below it.
