Album on Qobuz won't show on Roon - Bonamassa B.B. King

I know it’s probably been covered before, but since I have had very few complaints or issues with Roon, I don’t know the fix.

On Qobuz, I can see and access Joe Bonamassa’s “B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100”. The tracks play without issue in the Qobuz app. Me wants in Roon, but alas.

Roon interface sees the albums (it’s a collection), but all tracks are marked as Unavailable. If I do a general search on Joe Bonamassa with albums sorted by release date, it’s there.

I’ve favorited/hearted the albums in Qobuz, and have done a Refresh in the Qobuz area on Roon, but all tracks are still Unavailable.

Is it an easy fix that I’m missing? Licensing issue?

I searched for it and it plays fine. You probably have an older version in your Roon library that Qobuz removed. So its zombie stays in your Roon library.

Go to the albums’s VERSIONS tab and you will probably find another version that will play. Or search for it again, using Roon’s global search (top right corner of Roon window).

Unfortunately you will lose any personal metadata from the older version, stuff like play or any edits.

Thanks for the tips, but still no joy.

I’ve tried various combinations of Adding to Library, viewing versions, Removing from library and re-adding. I’ve come up with three different versions, all from Qobuz, but all tracks are showing as unavailable.

Much like @Jim_F , it shows as:

It also seems strange that I can’t get to the tracks, but you can. Have you tried playing but one of the tracks? Success?

Hmmm…

The album isn’t released until 6th Feb 2026. That’s why you can’t play the tracks. It’s showing as a pre-release. That’s what @Jim_F was indicating in his post.

If it’s playing in the Qobuz app then perhaps it’s a different version.

In the Qobuz app they show as Volumes.

Which are all available to play within the Qobuz app.

I think what you’re seeing is an oddity of a not yet released full version of all 4 volumes.

Having looked at the screenshot from @RobH it shows ‘discs’ being clickable. I think I’m right here.

I’ve had a further look and it seems that vols 1-4 have already been released. The version you’re trying to play may be a compilation that’s due out next year. Are vols 1-4 available to stream on Qobuz via Roon?

Or maybe the available albums can be found by clicking “Versions”.

Well spotted. I missed that. :+1:

Geez…

I’m not sure I understand your last post. If you’ve tried every search and it’s still unavailable on Roon then you’ll need to open a metadata support request as Roon staff don’t routinely read software discussion threads. Although @Suedkiez seems to have found a working version.

I hadn’t noticed volumes and played the first one it found …

A fresh Roon install and Qobuz logged in.

The below screenshot is how Qobuz shows them and also Roon/Qobuz.

It’s also the same way my offline versions show.

All tracks available and play fine.

@RobH I would remove what you have from Roon as a favourite, also check removed from the Qobuz app.

Then locate the 4 individual volumes in the Qobuz app and add them as a favourite. Manually resync Qobuz within Roon.

The compilation of all four doesn’t show for me, a UK Qobuz subscriber. Maybe a regional thing.

There are more volumes to come in the monthly rollout of the digital version of a 32-track birthday tribute to BB King and there may yet be a compilation

Having failed at all attempts, I will do that.

I’ve done that process before, and did it again, even re-starting Roon after removing from Roon and un-favoriting in Qobuz. Then, after re-favoriting and refreshing Qobuz in Roon, same result. Looks like a support ticket is in order.

Thanks for your help.

But are you adding the 4 available, individual volumes.

The full compilation isn’t out until next year. What you appear to be adding is this compilation.

In the Qobuz app, you say it plays, it may do but 30 seconds of each track, but unlikely at all. So of it is playing it maybe one of the released volumes I’ve posted above.

A screenshot of your Qobuz app showing the version you’re playing could help pinpoint the issue.

Okay, success. (The Blues makes me happy.) I don’t know what made the difference, but I can now see the four available albums in my Roon library, and they play through.

I had a checklist set up and was going to carefully step through every possible idea, but then noticed that the albums were showing as available in my library, even though I hadn’t done anything since I saw them as Unavailable.

Did I just need to give it some time? Otherwise, I don’t know what made the difference.
