Could someone please explain the meaning of the album symbol which looks like a monochrome (and backwards) ‘no waiting’ street sign?
I’ve looked but I can’t find a gallery of symbols and meanings for Roon…
Some times this is on a Tidal album (but I can still play the album) - in which case it also has the Tidal ‘T’ next to it. Sometimes it’s on one of my imported albums. Again, I can still play the music.
Banned. You can still play it explicitly but it won’t be played automatically (e.g., by Roon Radio)
The other badges are explained in the UI in Roon Settings > General, where you can enable/disable them, I don’t think there’s a dedicated help page for this
Ok - I’ve looked at various albums and songs and, although the album covers have the ‘banned’ symbol, none of the tracks are banned. So I’m confused again…
The album and the tracks can be banned separately You might want the whole album banned or just one track from it. But I don’t think that banning the album applies the symbol to all tracks individually.
This makes sense, I guess, because even though an album is banned you can still choose to play it. And that wouldn’t work if every track was automatically banned.
Ok - understood. thanks Suedkiez. It would be helpful, I guess, if it were clearer which is banned (the album or a track) but now that you’ve explained (and I’ve found the three dots) it’s now clearer. Thanks for your help!
