Is there a way to get an album display in playlists, makes it easier to remove an album you don’t want in it anymore. I might be missing something but don’t seem to able to switch to that.

No these are still individual tracks with the album art showing.
I tend to import whole albums and then shuffle the playlist.
Then after a while I like to get rid of some of the albums.
It be nice if I could select an album (like the standard album view)
And then delete.

Many of my playlist are full albums in chronological order such as this Beatles playlist. The playlist itself shows each track, of course. I’ve never tried to delete an album or even a track.
You could probably sort your playlist by album name, then highlight all the tracks from the album you want to delete.
