Describe the issue

Hello!

I am a Japanese roon user, and my name is JUN MASAKA.
I am not fluent in English, so I use Google Translate to write my sentences.
Please forgive me if I use rude language.

Currently, I enjoy roon in two ways.
One is ROCK installed on an Intel NUC.
The other is Roon Server installed on a Rhein Z1 Plus.
Both software versions are the latest 1510.
All my music data is stored on an SSD added to the Intel NUC.

The other day, I added two music albums to the SSD in the Intel NUC.

When I set ROCK to ROON SERVER, I can see the added albums, but when I set Rhein Z1 Plus to ROON SERVER, I cannot find one of the added albums.

When I checked, I found that the missing album was recorded in Skipped Files in Library.
Reazon was "I/O failure".

At first I suspected that the files were corrupted, but they played without any problems when I set ROCK to SERVER, or when using Audirvana or JRMC.

Just to be sure, I performed a force rescan several times and tried copying them to the SSD again, but the results were the same.

I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

Describe your network setup

router: I-O DATA WN-DAX6000XR
switches: DELA S1
roon ROCK: Intel NUC11TNHi5
other server: Rhein Z1 Plus

Hi @JUN_MASAKA,
Thanks for reaching out to us to ask about this issue. This I/O failure can indicate a hardware failure, filesystem corruption, permissions errors, or a networking issue. Can you try bypassing the switch you mentioned in your network set up and connect both the NUC and the Rhein directly to your router and the perform a rescan of the storage location from the Rhein? Let us know if there is any improvement after trying this.
