I’m brand new to roon. I created a playlist in roon, but when I click on an album link from the playlist is shows the album as not in my library. A search for the same album shows that it is in fact in my library. Not sure what’s going on??
Can you post a screenshot? Are all devices running the same version of Roon?
ok…the top image is a global search for the album that shows it in my library. The bottom image is the same album clicked on from within the Roon playlist.

Have you added Tidal tracks, you can have a Tidal track in a playlist but not have the album added to your library?
I’ve added them in Tidal. I even clicked on each of the albums from within the playlist and added them again - but they still show as not in my library.
Does each individual track on the album need to be added to my library in Tidal?
No just the album.
@m_p Ok I think I just replicated your issue, if you add a tidal track from an album you have not added to your library to a playlist, then add the album to your library, then go back to the playlist and click on the track it will give you the option to add to library, so the status of that track is not being updated, is that what you are seeing?
As a test can you add some of the problem tracks to a newly created playlist, then click on the track and it should show ‘focus on similar’ rather than ‘add to library’
@support is this a bug or expected behaviour?
Yes…I think that’s what’s happening to me.
@m_p Can you try this
As a test can you add some of the problem tracks to a newly created playlist, then click on the track and it should show ‘focus on similar’ rather than ‘add to library’
I tried that and it doesn’t work - still shows “Add to Library” instead of focus. Strange…
Well I tried it and did not get the problem, I’ll test again.
Just tested and it works, Mike I have sent you a message look top right for a number by your M
Thanks for the help - can’t seem to figure it out
@m_p Ok, try this.
Go to three lines top left of the main screen, click on it and select Tidal
The first album I see is Everything is Love by The Carters and the following is based on that album if you see different choose the first album you see as long as you haven’t previously added it to your library and adjust the album and track name accordingly.
Click on the album
The first track is Summer, click on the three dots on the right of the line and select add to playlist.
Select create new playlist, call it ‘not added’
That track has now been added to that playlist but the album is not added to the library.
Go back to the main window and click on the three lines top left and then Tidal again.
Select the same album and then select ‘add to library’
Go back to the main window and select the three lines top left again and then overview.
You should see the album you have just added, select it, select the three dots on the right of the first track ‘Summer’ and then add to playlist, select create new playlist and call it ‘added’ then go back to the main screen.
Select the three lines top left and then playlists then select the playlist ‘not added’ and click on the album cover it should bring up the track with the option to ‘add to library’ don’t do anything just go back to the main window.
Now repeat only this time select the playlist ‘added’ and click on the album and you should see the option ‘focus on similar’
If so you have replicated the error.
Hope this helps.
Russ
