In stead of being able to set volume from Roon all devices are reported by Roon as having fixed volume as preference. I can’t change it. Is this a bug for 571?
No one else has reported anything. Have you rebooted everything.

I have deleted Roon on my iPhone, my iPad and my QNAP TVS871 and then reinstalled everything. I first had the reported issue with authorization and than I was ‘rewarded’ with the fixed volume issue on the iPhone, Kef LSW and Lindemann Source.
Rebooting helped although I needed to unauthorized my Qnap again.
No not at all. Since yesterday evening I get messages such as too many mistakes to play etc. Really annoying.
Unexpected error communicating with audio device. Too many failures stopping playback.
Rebooted for the upteenth time. Music now playing. But for how long?
Can you please let me know the exact local time + date + track you next experience an issue and then send me a copy of you QNAP logs by using these instructions? If you can upload to Dropbox / Google Drive that would be best, but if you don’t have either service, just let me know.

The following is a zone dump from the get_zones() method for my main zone when it is set to different volume control types of fixed, dsp and extension of type incremental (which an incremental type). I have removed irrelevant zones.
Note on the final dump of type incremental that the volume block is missing. This means that a control UI will interpret this is a fixed volume and be unable to correctly send volume control command of type relative 1, relative -1.
I dont know when that started to happen. From an old data dump, I would guess at least 6 months ago.
I assume this affects all web UI implementation attempting to control any device of type incremental however it is also possible the fault could be at my end. I register the volume control with:

No developments as far as I know. About once a month the volume is fixed in stead of incremental. Stop and restart Roon on my Qnap TVS871 and the volume can be adjusted inthe Roon app.
