My Tidal subscriptions is HiFi yet all music I play from Tidal is Low Quality as shown in the signal chain. It was working fine last week but now isn’t. For example the new Bowie album Blackstar should surely be lossless ?
Any ideas ?

Roon always requests the highest quality stream from TIDAL, and then TIDAL decides which file to stream.
This depends on your country/territory, the type of subscription you have, and the licensing details for the content on their end.
So, two questions that I’m sure @vova will want answered when he comes around to help:
What type of account do you have?
What country/territory is your account associated with?

I have a HiFI account in Austrlaia and I am just now playing Blackstar via Chrome browser and it is showing as HiFi.

Did you ever have a trial account with Tidal ? Sometimes their login server can get stuck. Try clearing your Tidal account details from Roon and close it. Close, open and close your Tidal account outside Roon. Re-enter your Hi-Fi enabled Tidal account details in Roon. See if that jogs their recognition of you.
There is a 99% chance this is going to end with us submitting a report to TIDAL. Roon doesn’t make decisions about which content to play for a given track.
I’ve given @vova some guidance on how to proceed so that we can be 100% sure of what’s going on. He should be along shortly.

I tried 3 times to send the package but each time got “Cannot connect to server”. Is this my firewall ?
My subscription is definitely Premium -
But in Google Chrome I cannot activate HiFi when I click it -
Strange !
I can stream HiFi when I play music on my iPhone… ???

According to this page, “Premium” subscriptions don’t do lossless streaming, and should return AAC files. The subscription type for lossless is called a “HiFi” account.
