Hello Rooner’s

Some peaple on this forum is telling that…Real DAC bits is not the 24 or 32 Bit the specs is telling…some is 16 or 17 or 18 or 19 or 20
Where can i find this info for my DAC? Its for the setting in HQ Player

@Morten you are probably referring to the measured resolution of DAC - although all modern dacs support 24 or 32 bit input feed, their real resolution capability measured on the analog outputs is lower (e.g. 17 bits etc). I haven’t yet seen any brand publishing this about their DACs, so you’d need to find it by measurement or somewhere on internet if someone already tested that dac model.
