I mount my NAS’s music folder via the OS (Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS) rather than through Roon’s settings (I have to to avoid audio/performance issues). Because of this Roon see’s my monitored folders as local and removes the “Automatic Rescan Interval” option under Settings > Storage > Folders leaving a manual, forced rescan as my only option to import new music or existing music with changed tags.

I have the same problem !
As long as Roon does not provide the possibility to add parameters for smb/cifs mounts it is the single way to get rid of warnings in my Linux Roon Core.
Any updates on this?
It is frustrating to manually re-scan to add new music files !
