Has anyone tried this combination? Using Roon’s first unfold and comparing to how the Altair handles Undecoded MQA with it’s own filters?
I don’t have Altair but Aries Mini used as endpoint. I’ve tried in both cases; Aries Mini own ‘decoding’ + ‘rendering’ (latest firmware) vs Roon first decoding, I can’t find any difference in SQ. Both perform excellent.
