Use fire tablet to run to kitchen stereo. After 2-5 seconds, music stops and I get message “Roon lost control of the audio device”

PS - Yes tried rebooting both, reconnecting to core. makes no difference. Seems to take longer for mp3s to stop than lossless larger files. Whats going on? Why is, yet again, this extremely expensive software not working as it should. I remember trying a couple of years ago on amazon fire, was exactly the same issue. If it doesnt work on amazon fire, stop making the app or fix it?!
