An audio file is having trouble loading

Having another issue! Have installed Roon on a new 2023 Mac book pro. Had to do this as my 2014 iMac which had my Roon server died.

Nothing else has changed. Same wifi router etc. I am constantly getting a message every other song saying the audio file is having trouble loading. And it skips to the next track.

Any thoughts on how I can get rid of this issue? This new Mac book should be a lot more powerful. HELP :frowning:

I should clarify, I am getting this issue when using my iPhone as a remote. This is often how I would listen prior to iMac death

Hi @Matthew_Bowden1,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report!

We were able to review a fresh diagnostic report from your Roon Server, and the good news is I don’t believe your issue to be hardware-related. The primary cause of your issue loading tracks seems to be network related, here’s an example of playback stopping due to dropouts and seemly a shaky network connection:

Trace: [Matt's Iphone] [zoneplayer/raat] too many dropouts. stopping stream
Warn: [Matt's Iphone] [zoneplayer/raat] Too many dropouts (>3s dropped out in the last 30s). Killing stream
Trace: [Matt's Iphone] [zoneplayer/raat] too many dropouts. stopping stream
Warn: [zone Matt's Iphone] Track Stopped Due to Slow Media

How is your new Mac connected to your router? Can you temporarily set up a direct ethernet connection and see if your issues persist?

Another thought - could you review your router settings, and see if you’re able to allocate network priority to your Mac and iPhone?

We’ll be on standby for your reply.
