Android Auto Issues

Creating this post per @michael. This is one of two issues I have with Android Auto. One is the spinning wheel of doom that is only fixed with a force stop. This issue I reproduced is different. I got in my car. Started playback from my phone. Got to my destination, got out of my car. Unlocked my phone to pay for some food, the music started blaring out of my phone speaker embarrassingly in Jersey Mike’s. I get back in my car, look at ARC in Android Auto and the playback counter is still going. This 6:00 song has been “playing” in Android Auto for 9 minutes. If I hit play on my phone it will correct itself but in Android Auto I can’t resume playback because it thinks it’s playing.

The other issue is when I get in my car and ARC in Android Auto is unresponsive and spins and spins. When that happens my steering wheel controls don’t work either. That is more rare but does happen. Here is a picture of an impossibly long Peter Gabriel song.

This happened from 3:20-3:30 today 11/6.

Yes, it also happens to me from some builds. I think I reported it earlier in some other posts

Edit: Here it is

Ditto.
ARC is so unreliable on AA I’ve given up trying to fix it if doesn’t work as i drive off, i just switch to music on a card in the head unit.
Doesn’t work 20 percent of the time.
And of course don’t try and load a very big playlist through ARC on AA even if it’s downloaded, I have start it off on the phone beforehand.

@michael reproduced the spinning wheel. 8:55 am 11/15/2025

Force stop is the only way to fix it
