Android controller regularly drops connection to Roon

Core Machine

Roon core on Innuos Zen Mini III.
Mainly using Asus Android tablet as controller.

Network Details

The Zen Mini is connected by Ethernet cable to the Internet.
The tablet is wireless but only 3m line of sight to a range extender.

Description of Issue

In the main, this works very well but a small annoyance is that the controller regularly loses its connection to the Core. It only takes about 5 secs to reconnect but I’d prefer it to connect instantly. Any suggestions?

Yes, check the “intelligent” energy saving features of Android for the Roon app. Turn that off and there shouldn’t be that delay anymore.
