Hi @Ulf,

Thanks for the details so far. We can see that your Windows Roon Remote is connecting normally, so the problem appears to be limited to the Android device.

Can you please share the model and manufacturer of the Android device, along with the Android version? Also, when the connection fails, what exact error message do you see on screen? Are several Android devices affected, or just one in particular?

OnePlus 7T Pro , model HD1913, Android V12. I have only one Android device.

Hello @Ulf

Thank you for the update.

  • Power off the TP-Link extender and move your OnePlus device close to the main Telia router to ensure it is connected directly to the primary Wi-Fi network.
  • Perform a clean reinstall of the Roon app by uninstalling it and manually clearing the app cache and storage in your Android settings before downloading it again.
  • Navigate to your Android Network & Internet settings and ensure that Private DNS is set to Off, as this setting can often block local device discovery.

Tried the 3 steps. But connection still fails. BTW: ARC finds my ROCK server using WiFi, and plays just fine.

Update: I restarted Roon server, and then the newly installed Android Roon client could find the server instance and was able to connect. Now it seems to be OK. Android Roon connects as expected when it is started. Crossing my fingers.

Thanks,
