Describe the issue

very annoying noise while playing on fiio m15s which is Roon Ready btw

Describe your network setup

wifi 6e, mesh

Just another user but what do you mean here.

Are sure you are you using the FiiO Roon App to enable Roon Ready and have this enabled in settings/Audio as the device and you are not using the local output of the Roon Android app this is the one that shows as this Phone if using the Roon app on the device ?

On the FiiO M15S there is a pre-installed “Roon Ready” which is different from the “Roon Remote” app that is available in the FiiO store (the pre-installed “Applications” app). Make sure that both the Roon Ready and the Roon Remote are installed and that both apps are running.

Once the Roon Ready is running, enable the FiiO M15S zone/device under the “Audio” section of Roon’s settings. (see the screenshot below) Now open the Roon Remote on the FiiO M15S and select FiiO M15S as the audio zone. Do not enable any of the audio outputs for the FiiO M15S which show up under the Setting → Audio section of the Roon Remote app on the M15S.

If you follow all these steps and there is still noise during playback then the problem may be with the device itself and not Roon.

Hi @priet,
Thanks for writing in to let us know about this issue. Did running the Roon Ready and Roon Remote apps resolve your issue?
