Another change to the theme file and a welcome bonus

For anyone still modifying their colors file please note that the latest release (v2.65) has added another line to the colors file to style the new tooltip. The line you need to add is:

atom-tooltip-bg #fffffff (or whatever colour you prefer)

Also, it’s worth mentioning that the ‘name’ file (the one that lives alongside the ‘colors’ file in each theme folder) is finally worth editing as Roon now respects the content of that file and reports it within the app. In other words, you can now name multiple theme files within Roon that report their own name rather than just saying ‘unknown’ (see below).

Thanks for your help.

Where exactly in the colors file does this line need to be added, at the very end of the text?

Look in the default theme file?

The order doesn’t matter, it will work wherever you put it.

I tried it as the last line and it crashed.

Can you you confirm the Colors line again and then I’ll try again.

The Roon standard dark mode mode works fine.

Thanks

atom-tooltip-bg #FFFFFF (or colour of choice)

You should also confirm that your theme contains the following two lines as these were also recently added to the color file.

atom-footer-opaque #00%F7F8F9
button-sensitivity-text-color #FFFFFF

Thanks but I added the atom-tooltip-bg #FFFFFF but it still crashes.

I did add the other two lines a couple of weeks ago and that was fine before the latest Roon update.

If this is definitely the case then there’s a discrepancy between your modified theme file and the standard one, so you’ll need to find what’s different. In the past, when confronted with the same problem, I put both color files (modified and default) into Excel and put them in alphabetical order. It made it much easier to see the differences.
