Any known issues with Musicbrainz?

Hi all, are there any known issues with the Musicbrainz database at the moment? I have added 15 new entries over since the 27th of last month and while they normally take a day or two for Roon to see them none of my new additions are being picked up by Roon.

Have they been accepted on MB?

Thank you for your post. Please see the above question - if you continue to see issues after an additional 24 hours or so, then please provide an example here for our team to investigate.

also having the same problem, maybe there hasn’t been a database sync.

Thanks for suggesting that because I wouldn’t have thought to have checked MB as my releases always get auto accepted, i’ve never had to wait but this new batch were all held in my open queue for seven days. There weren’t any votes so they all became accepted. So I waited a few days for some to become accepted but 3 days later these releases still aren’t showing up in Roon. I’ve also noticed a lot of new releases are in MB but not picking up in Roon too.

Thank you for your post. There was a brief backend delay posting metadata roughly 48-72 hours ago, but everything is on track once again. Restart your RoonServer machine and please let us know if you continue to see issues.

No album recognition via MusicBrainz

Normally, I get a completely empty overview when I select the "Not recognized" focus in Roon. This is because I am one of the voluntary MusicBrainz editors. And since I enter all my albums (which Roon does not recognize) into MusicBrainz, all albums have been recognized by Roon so far.

In total, I have entered more than 1000 albums into the MusicBrainz database over the last 2 years, a fact that of course benefits all Roon users.

Unfortunately, this mechanism has not worked for more than a week. Normally, it takes a maximum of 2 days for Roon to recognize the albums. Roon no longer seems to compare its database with that of MusicBrainz. Because even though I entered 3 of the albums visible here into MusicBrainz about a week ago, Roon does not recognize them. Is this a mistake by Roon, a mistake by MusicBrainz or will Roon no longer use this form of album recognition?

This is of course disappointing for me, as it involves a lot of work for me.

yep, just restarted my ROCK (completely) and still issues with a sync (and even tried to manually match them too) - metadata is applied from Picard… Some examples of local files that are not matched, despite being approved by MusicBrainz a week ago is Edits for Summer Drop - MusicBrainz or Release “I Was Here” by Jimmy Nice - MusicBrainz or Release “PHYSIS” by DayKoda - MusicBrainz

Thanks for continuing to report this. We’ve looked again and found that there *is* a sync issue.

Please accept our apologies; we’re working with MusicBrainz and syncing should – hopefully – be resolved early next week.

This was resolved yesterday and new albums and other updates should already be present on our servers.
