Anyone notice an issue with part of Home Page [or other Roon cloud content] loading slowly? [Investigating]

Same here, absolutely it’s a mess homepage is constantly loading and unusable. I have tried rebooting server numerous times

Same here. Partial home page load, jellyfish spinner that never ends for the rest.

Honestly man, where’s the QA?

Fyi, there was a DDOS attack a day ago that affected both the forum and Roon’s Cloud services. This may be the aftermath or Roon’s additional safeguards are causing the issue. Whichever, it’s been flagged and they will react. Unfortunately, it’s also the weekend so the situation may not get resolved quickly. Your patience would be appreciated.

Previously, the section with new releases took a long time to load, but after yesterday’s update, it disappeared completely. Restarting the server does not help.

It should return within a minute or so.

Roon is aware of the issue.

The playlist section loading is still to painful to open the homepage :man_facepalming:t2::flushed_face:

It was more of a general “you” because people keep repeating the same thing that was already mentioned a hundred times, which probably means that they aren’t aware, and from experience the next thing is that some start messing around and making things even worse.

I thought it had rectified itself this morning, seemed to load homepage quickly. Then I noticed new releases had completely disappeared. Clicked on Qobuz to test that was working and homepage reverted to agonising slow.

For me, if I disable Tidal the homepage load as normal

I exhibit the exact same behavior.

if Roon is counting, add me to the list of people with the problem since upgrading to latest release.

Since yesterday’s update, Roon has become very slow, not everything is displayed anymore (no more daily Roon mixes) and loading the extended information and discography (Tidal) often fails.

Same here….

That’s fair but we’re watching a multi-day production outage unfold in which Roon have said nothing more than “We’re aware of an issue” and “Our support team doesn’t work on the weekends”. I don’t think anybody reasonably expects five nines (errr, 99.999% uptime) from Roon but this complete lack of regular status updates and progress towards resolution is going to lead people to trying to fix things themselves.

Fortunately I never pay attention to anything under my recently added albums and my Listen Later queue on the home page. Barely knew there was an issue and have been listening to music and using Roon as I normally would. Qobuz integration is fine as well.

Sounds like a god weekend to listen to some tunes and ignore the JellyFish.

Well I haven’t defended that, have I. In fact I wrote to them several times yesterday to put up a banner at least.

I have the best interests of fellow users in mind when I pointed out that they shouldn’t start messing with their system because they think it’s a local issue (which is what the lack of a banner does) and potentially making things even worse for themselves.

I can understand Roon not wanting to do a post by post response or give a rolling update on this.

But for the sake of everyones time, not least the community moderators, just put a pinned sticky at the top of the forum acknowledging this is an issue which is being looked into.

Maybe combine / crib one or other of these post and pin it… :pushpin:

Experiencing the same here. So frustrating - took 20 minutes to get music playing and now missing new releases on home page, super slow loading, etc., etc. — and still no answers on the recently added incorrect dates issue either….

We’re in violent agreement, I suspect. Prompt communication and action from Roon reduces the number of people who go messing about & creating other problems.

Yes. I have been experiencing the same behavior. And as of today, there’s not only a significant lag time in loading the home page, but now the Daily Mixes pane doesn’t appear, New Releases is followed immediately by Playlists by Roon.
