Apply DSP if source not MQA

Is it possible to apply DSP (converting to DSD for example) unless the source is MQA?

Apologies if Roon already does this, but if it does, I don’t know how.

This works for me with a Pro-Ject Pre Box S2 Digital. I believe you need to set the DAC to render only and let Roon do the first unfold but I’m not at home and cannot check. I posted MQA and non-MQA signal paths in the “show your signal path” thread though.

Thanks, looks like that works but I need to disable Headroom Management for my Moon Ace to display MQA. With Headroom Management enabled it displays ORFS.

Can anyone tell me if I’m getting the full MQA decoding and benefits if it shows ORFS?

Orfs is the full mqa decode on the renderer side if using Roons unfolding for the first stage. Nothing to worry about.
