ARC Android limitation - Android Audio mixer

I have based my HP audio setup exclusively on Roon/ROCK:

Everything works just fine. Even my VPN connection.

There is just one problem, Roon ARC still uses the standard Android Audio mixer and that is limited to 24/48. If I connect my iBasso DC07 Pro to my FiiO M23 (using USB output) I can fix this problem. But that leaves me with to many devices when “on the road”.

Long time ago - over a year ago - there where talk about that Roon would fix this ARC Android limitation.

If where will be no fix to this limitation, than it would be nice to know. Than I need to replace my DAP with another solution (maybe a DAC/AMP with battery solution in combination with iPhone 15 pro)

It would nice to get a feedback from Roon on this topic.

Thanks and have a nice WE

TLDR and a shot in the dark, but does it not work if you enable ARC‘s own USB driver in settings?

If I just use ARC I get “High quality”. If I use ARC‘s own USB driver with my iBasso DC07 Pro I get “Enhanced” (both with the same settings).

But that leaves me with to many devices “on the road”

With Android 14 (Pixel 8 Pro), ARC’s own USB driver selected, I get lossless on my iFi Diablo portable DAC or my Focal Bathys headphones (USB connection). DAPs often come with ancient Android versions that do not support this.
