Hello, ARC tends to work through Tailscale, on Iphone 13 updated to the latest version of the OS and ROCK on NUC. The problem is that ARC abnormally overheats the phone and also freezes after a while. Never seen an app go with so many problems, maybe it is too heavy with too many functions? I hope a solution is found, thanks

Thank you for your post. We’ve activated diagnostics for your ARC instance and identified numerous out-of-memory exceptions logged to our servers. The framework similarly reports low memory during regular operation - both background and graphical components of the app seem to be attempting to operate under extreme memory pressure and failing.
The most likely culprit is that your Roon database contains too many objects for ARC to reliably sync. For the app to support operation during periods poor or limited cellular connectivity, Roon needs to synchronize information about your entire music library onto your mobile device, even if you haven’t downloaded tracks. While synchronized data is much more compact than what is stored in the RoonServer itself, we can’t guarantee stellar performance with ARC when a Roon library contains more than about 250,000 tracks. We’re working to expand functionality, but the limitations aren’t entirely within ARC itself. There are also restrictions on resource usage imposed by Apple and Google which make this scale of data transfer, synchronization, and storage impractical within a mobile app, even with a capable phone,
I’m not a computer person, but this is why I keep saying please keep Roon ARC as simple as possible. In my opinion, Roon ARC does not need to function like a full featured Roon application.
I just dropped Apple Music and hope Roon ARC continues to work well. Just let me see and play my music (Tidal and Qobuz), nothing more.
EDIT: Works for me on iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPad Mini 6, and iPad 8th Gen. I don’t use Tailscale.
Thanks for the reply, I actually have a very large library that far exceeds 250,000 tracks. But it doesn’t seem normal to me that an app works according to the number of tracks. Then you could think of a “lite” version of ARC that loads from the main system only objects that can be preselected, for example some playlists (which I consider the most important), a few hundred albums, etc. so that the app works with everything, otherwise the advertising on the Roon site is quite misleading and no maximum number is specified.
A wonderful idea! We have a dedicated section for ideas - our Feature Suggestions is the spot to post them.
Please know that we’re continually making improvements to Arc, and will continue to do so, but in the same breath, Arc isn’t a substitute for an iPod or portable media player.
To put things in perspective, Arc works seamlessly for the vast majority of our users, most of whom have libraries well under 250k tracks. Please keep in mind that with a library of that size, you’re likely pushing the limits of most audio software.
