And it keeps going
I’ve deleted some active SDL downloads while they were downloading, in case it matters. These downloads that it is now making don’t make a lot of sense. I’ve not listened to any of this, or anything similar as far as I can tell.

After the above post I put ARC in the background and it stopped downloading. Today I launched it again and it continued with SDL until it recurred this size:
@oleh it has now settled on a stable 35.0 GB size and it doesn’t hurt (I have more) but nevertheless it’s 5 more than configured.
Could it be because I did „keep download“ for some? If so, I‘d personally prefer if I could give Roon an overall maximum because else I‘d have to play with the size every time I „keep“ a download, at least if space on the phone were tight
Hi @Suedkiez!
This is expected in the current implementation. The allocated storage on the Smart Downloads Page relates to the storage you are ready to use for the Smart Downloads. The internal storage in the settings will show the total number of Smart Downloads and manually triggered downloads. The regular (manually triggered) downloads are limited only by the free storage of the phone.
Nevertheless, thanks for flagging this. I’ll let the product team know about future improvements in this area.
Thanks, got it, and it makes a bit of sense if manual downloads and SDL were entirely separate. But as SDL downloads can be set to keep, one has to constantly fiddle with the allocated size für SDL after a „keep“, if one needs to limit the overall download size (which is probably quite typical as ARC is limited to internal storage)
I have the opposite issue. I’ve configured SDL for 220 GB, but it stopped downloading at less than 130 GB, and I have more than enough free space and more than enough local albums available for download. Any ideas?
That’s probably a different problem insofar as for some reason it doesn’t find more to download, while my case it was just unclear how it calculates
I’m aware it’s a completely different problem, I just shamelessly hijacked this thread to get more attention
Yeah, I’m not sure if that works as intended and thought maybe a separate one would get more
Already got your attention
True but I’m helpless
