ARC B296 Only one album showing in Recently Added

Roon B1456 on ROCK
ARC B296 on iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 17.6.1

First thing this morning I started playback using ARC on CarPlay (doing the usual school drop-off run). Much to my surprise I only had one album showing in Recently Added, this is not the case using Roon on my IPhone, iPad or Mac.

This maybe related to the issue, yesterday my RPi endpoint running @DrCWO’s fantastic rooExtend, suddenly stopped playing music to my Zeppelin Air and disappeared from Roon, I tried re-booting everything including my RoonServer running on ROCK. I had to re-install rooExtend on the RPi in the end but I’m wondering if the issue with ARC started when I re-booted RoonSever?

And here’s Roon:

Have you tried going to Settings > Diaconnect in ARC, then reconnecting?

Yes, I have now. ARC crashed a couple of times during the disconnect/reconnect procedure.

It didn’t work and of course, all my downloads need to be re-downloaded. Grrrrr!

ARC needs quite a time to sync with your Roon Core. So maybe you keep it open over nicht in your home where you have WiFi. For me Roon ARC works in between in my car but it is still not stable. Yesterday it crashed once again. Also disconnecting from USB Cable in my car and reconnection often the queue gets lost so I have to pick a new song to start with.

All in all my experience is not too positive with ARC so far. The Roon App works much better.

I’m not sure if it relates but I’ve had a very similar problem recently in that my Recently Added list has become frozen in time on ARC - it shows more than 1 album but none added in the last 10 days. Roon itself displays things correctly.

I’ve been using ARC from the beginning, I do get playback issues when I get in the car and music should automatically start when ARC connects to my Pioneer CarPlay unit but this issue with my recently added is completely new to me and I very seldom have issues syncing (not sure that I have since ARC came out of Beta) with my RoonServer.

I think something else is at play here (no pun intended).

Your screenshot of Roon shows 5 day gap between additions. Arc may not go back that far. TBH I haven’t got a clue if that’s correct.

In Arc, recently added section, click on more. What is shown?

I ask as I’ve, since yesterday added over 100 but only shows a small amount of this. I’m dealing with local content only. I notice you’re using Tidal. Might be worth logging out of Tidal within Roon. Then log back in.

Up until two days ago what was shown in ARC’s recently added was exactly the same as recently added in the Roon app (on all platforms), it has been this was since ARC was released.

There is nothing else if you click on “More”.

I’ll try logging out/in to Tidal, although I don’t know why this would only affect ARC and not the main Roon app.

Here’s the Roon app Recently Added, ARC was exactly the same two days ago:

It’s a Roon thing. A number of things don’t make sense with Roon at the moment for me.

It may just be another thing gone sideways due to updates. Hope not and just an Early Access thing.

Logging out of Tidal did not help. It has also reset my “Recently Played” activity and because I deleted the two albums I had recently added there is no “Recently Added” at all.

Something is going awry between Roon ARC and Tidal but why am I the only one, so far, hmmmmm?
