ARC cannot locate Roon server (ref#3DHJE5)

ARC cannot locate Roon server

TP-link wireless router, AT&T gateway modem

I have rebooted the router and rebooted the Roon server, but this did not help. Everything looks correct, but still ARC cannot find Roon server.

Are you in airplane mode? I can see a tiny airplane at the first screenshot of your second post.
Also (if that’s not the case), could you turn off your VPN just to check?

Thanks for writing in to ask us about this issue. Was @Arlen correct? If not can you share a picture of the Roon settings → Roon ARC page on your server?

@Arlen was correct. I just came back from a trip and forgot to turnoff Airplane Mode. I have now turned it off. I also turned off my VPN. Still, this did not rectify the problems. @daniel The router settings and the Roon settings are the same as in the photographs I already uploaded. Do you need screen shots of anything else? Thanks to both of you for your help with this.

Are you presently in the same location as your Roon server? If so verify that you are on the same Wifi network as your server/subnet and if you have any secondary WiFi networks that you use set them for “forget”

Reboot your phone and hopefully you will see a change.

I am on the same network and subnet as the Roon server, and on a reliable WiFi channel. I rebooted my ipad. Still no change. Perplexing. One good thing is that after I rebooted my iPhone, now ARC works on my iPhone. I’ve tried to identify anything that is different between my iPhone and tablet, and I don’t see any differences.

What about rebooting your tablet too? :wink:

I did that twice. What that did was different. It found the Roon server and

went through the process of trying to sync the library and then I got this message.

Strange.
Does the Roon app (not ARC) say anything in the settings menu?

Great news. After the last few tries when I got the message of checking the Roon server, it inexplicably fixed itself without anything new on my part. The issue is solved! Thanks for your help.
