ARC with Tailscale Was Working Now
I've had Roon Server on Win PC working perfectly with Tailscale and ARC both inside the network and outside. I switched over to a dedicated ROCK today and now I can't access the ROCK with ARC either inside the network or outside with Tailscale. It has been actived from the Web UI and Tailscale shows my Android devices and the Rock as "connected" but from within the ARC app I'm just getting a message that the ROCK is unavailable. Like I saild everything worked fine as a windows install, it's just not working as a ROCK. I appreciae any help you can provide.

Describe your network setup

Deco M5, Netgear 5 port unmanaged switch

You now have a different Tailscale installation and the Tailscale VPN tunnel that has been setup is new. Have you reconfigured Tailscale on the mobile to use the new VPN tunnel?

I cleared all the data in the tailscale mobile device app, uninstalled and reinstalled fresh, then logged back in. The tailscale machine panel shows everything as connected. When I open the Arc app (also a fresh install) there’s a red warning x that says "roon server last seen 3 hours ago. To connect make sure your roon server is turned on and configured to for remote access. ". I dont know what else to do. Everything is powered up.

Sometimes you just need to sleep on it…
Wanted to circle back. It’s morning in Vancouver and miraculously ARC is connecting to the Rock inside the network without tailscale and outside the network with Tailscale.
I haven’t changed any settings… I rebooted every device more times than I can count yesterday and now today everything is working as expected… Except all my radio streams have duplicated

Hey @Howard_Olsen,

Glad to hear you were able to reconnect!

Are they duplicated on Roon as well, or only Arc?

Roon. I deleted them and recreated the duplicates.
I dont understand the logic of how Roon Accounts work. I know I can only connect to one server at a time. I started my account on a windows server, then built a ROCK, connected to it and uninstalled the windows version. I rebooted everything, installed / uninstalled / reinstalled all the client apps and perhaps there was something left in cache or on the Roon Account side of things. Anyway, everything is now working as expected. ARC worked great in the car under Android Auto this afternoon, soundwise. It’s not sending any album artwork or meta data but it sounds good. and ARC works great in the gym or out and about. I’m very happy now after a bit of hair pulling  Thanks for checking in.
