Description of Issue
I’ve mentioned this before, but ARC STILL displays not just the primary artist on the “Now Playing” screen but ALSO all the songwriters right next to it. See screenshot.
Roon itself does not do this, only ARC, and there’s no setting to control it. Adjusting “Show Composer Credits” in Roon does not affect this.
All I need to see under the artist in the screenshot is Seth MacFarlane. Instead it’s Seth as well as all the writers of the song and apparently the leader of the orchestra.
This is something in the app that needs to be fixed. I first brought it up about a year ago.
It displays this way on the iPhone as well as on CarPlay.
Thank you for posting. Is this issue consistent across content from your local library and any streaming services you use? We ask because metadata preferences might differ between the two, and treatment will differ for content considered “Classical” in the metadata library used.
What do you see when you navigate in Roon to Settings → Library → Import Settings? For instance:
ARC exhibits the behavior I described on many different kinds of music including music that would have no chance to be regarded as classical.
My settings -->Library–>Import Settings mirrors what you displayed above. Roon is the preferred option for all fields.
I honestly don’t know if it is different on streaming thru ARC vs local as I usually only use ARC to stream my local music. I will have to check it out.
